My favorite of the sub-storylines is the City Watch, but my favorite stand-alone book that Pratchett has written is (at this particular moment of time) The Thief of Time. The man has written 39 books in the Discworld series, spanning several overarcing storylines. What is most difficult for me, really, is to choose my favorite Terry Pratchett book. He is so awesome, and even trying to list his worst book is lame because his worst book still has so much humor and meaning and kindness and is full of great messages. I am on a great quest to create more converts to the fantasy genre, though, so I am going to focus on Terry Pratchett. They are the only two authors I feel that I know well enough to even attempt to list their best and worst stories, and even so, I am very nervous about doing so. When Alyce asked me to participate in this weekly guest post series, I immediately thought of only two authors, Georgette Heyer and Terry Pratchett. Please welcome today’s guest blogger: Aarti from BookLust, who will be discussing the best and worst of Terry Pratchett. Visit the series page for more information about the guest bloggers, the featured authors, and the sign-up form. Each Wednesday I am featuring a guest post by a book blogger detailing which books they think are the “best” and “worst” by the author of their choice.
